Two Legends, One Club
In 1999, two proud clubs—St. George Dragons and Illawarra Steelers—joined forces to become the St. George Illawarra Dragons.

Between 1956 and 1966, St. George won 11 premierships in a row.

2000s Fire: The Wayne Bennett Years
In 2010, under the guidance of coaching wizard Wayne Bennett, the Dragons reignited that legacy—grinding their way to a Grand Final victory and reminding the league what the Red V meant.
It was defense-first, heart-on-sleeve, finals footy at its finest.
